Growth in Poly Systems Pty Ltd is due to the combination of Directors' specialist backgrounds and management skills. The Directors have implemented the corporate strategy with the maintenance of directionally forward tactics.
All Directors have a vested interest in the achievement of company goals.
Michael, with over 30 years of company directorships and international marketing, specialises in formulating export strategies and implementing negotiated arrangements throughout Asia, North America, the Pacific Basin and Southern Africa. He has a military and emergency service background.
He is National President Australian Industry & Defence Network, a Member of the National Defence Council, Defence Export Council, Tasmanian Manufacturing Industry Council, President Tasmanian Chapter Australian Southern Africa Business Council and Northern Tasmania Economic Development Committee.
Maria has been involved in the Research and Development of innovative products for over 17 years in the UK and Australia.
Roger has a background of heavy and light motor vehicle engineering with a specialisation in the development of high performance engines and related maintenance procedure, designs as well as machinery design and manufacture.
As a Special Projects Engineer he has worked with the Australian Army in Mack Truck Fleet Liaison and with Renault as a Manufacturing Engineer.
He has been researching, designing and developing new products with innovative concepts since 1986. Roger has proven expertise in on-demand design, innovation and prototyping coupled with an ability to increase productivity regimes via expansive engineering applications.
Malcolm has been a commercial lawyer for 26 years. He is an Accredited Specialist in Business Law and a Notary Public with an extensive international business practice including investment banking and technology.
He is President of the Australian Countertrade Association (since 1992), a Councillor of the Asia-Pacific Countertrade Association (since 1994) a Member Defence Exporters Council and a Member Law Council of Australia, International Practice Section.
Company Secretary
Tony, having worked with Hawker De Havilland (UK) and Shell International (Holland and Africa), relocated to Australia in 1976 as Director Engineering for Supavinyl Products Pty Ltd, a plastics extrusion and injection moulding company.
His role is to oversee the plastics tooling, machinery, R & D and product innovation programs which have resulted in two world first capabilities.
He has been a past Chairman of the Northern Group (Tasmania) Institute of Engineers and a previous Chairman of Tasmanian Plastics and Rubber ITB.
As a medical practitioner, Masum has six years of clinical experience in general medical and surgical fields including two years in Neurosurgery. He has extensive experience in using medical devices relevant to a wide range of surgical disciplines and a keen interest in Clinical Research with experience in the development and management of clinical trial programs.
Employed as a Medical Manager, Masum is undertaking post-graduate studies (University of Newcastle) in Clinical Epidemiology to develop further expertise in clinical research analysis and clinical trials, while also studying for an MBA with a major in marketing (Deakin University).
Peter is the Managing Director of a successful manufacturing company in Sydney. He has forty years experience in designing, developing and bringing innovative products to industry. He was presented with the Multi National Display of the Year 2000 Award in USA and won the Australian National Innovation Award in 2001 and again in 2002.
He is the International President of the Graphic International Communication, and was the International Vice-President in 2001-02. He is a Founding Director and Secretary of Australia & New Zealand Point of Purchase Advertising International and the holder of multiple POPAI Awards.
Stephen has considerable corporate expertise in national and international accounting and banking operations which supports the managerial capabilities of Poly Systems.
He has been involved with AusIndustry R & D programs as well as industry - University of Tasmania and TAFE Tasmania co-operative research projects. In addition to this he has had involvement with product compliance testing programs with the University of Adelaide Department of Mechanical Engineering and Vipac Engineers & Scientists in Melbourne.
